I'm seventeen years old and my new girlfriend has a friend that I'm not sure about. There's nothing particularly wrong with this best friend, except it's not a girl. It's a guy. So my question is, can I really trust a girl who has a male best friend? I really like her, but she spends a lot of time with this guy who she says is her "friend."

You idiot! I have more than a dozen dudes as best friends. Granted, I'm sleeping with one, but ya know. Not all girls sleep with their boy best friends. (BBF's)
I guess I'd have to ask about the activities they do together. I mean, are they shopping? Hmmm??? You might be jumping the gun, ever think of that? No, I bet not.
If they're sleeping together in the same bed, then maybe get a little worried. But just remember, Isten and I have done some pretty hot shit together and never did we stray from friend territory. 
So give her a chance and see what happens.
